The tour was great. Fernando showed me a lot of interesting places and gave me a lot of recommendations. He answered all my questions and made sure I allways understood him well, since my spanish is not the best (english would have been an option as well, but I chose to take the tour in spanish). El tour estuvo muy bien con Rosalia, nos explico muchas cosas sobre las calles de Cusco. Después fuimos al taller de cocina con Sebastian y preparamos un rico ceviche con productos frescos y de comercios locales junto a un pisco sour. Remarcar la amabilidad de Sebastian y su compromiso. Muy recomendable

Kevin made great effort in getting us as close to the locals as possible! Went to the market with him and he showed us were the real locals shop - that was amazing! Also the cooking class was great fun, we were just 4 people in total and I think the value for money was unbeatable 😁 Only thing is a little more insights/information could have been provided and the English level improved. But that would just be the last cherry on top that would be missing!

We have done quite a few tours in different cities and countries. The tour with Fernando ranks among the best. He was very knowledgeable and if you want to learn about history, culture and the area in Cusco and surroundings - he is the best to go to. Further the tastings were well organised with no pressure to buy anything or hidden sales tours. We liked it a lot and can only recommend it. 10 out of 10. :)

We absolutely loved this experience! We started by exploring the local market, then prepared our own ceviche and Pisco Sour and enjoyed everything together. It was honestly the best ceviche I’ve ever had! Kevin was an amazing guide - super friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Peruvian food and culture. Everything felt so authentic and fun. Definitely the best tour I’ve ever booked through GuruWalk! Highly recommended!

Kevin was an excellent guide and took us to the less touristy parts of town when visiting the markets to buy produce. This allowed us to engage with a more genuine cultural experience of the food, which was the point of the tour. It also allowed us to know where to return to for our own purchases of local food produce during our stay in the city. We would highly recommend taking part in this experience.

The tour was truly amazing! Fernando told me a lot about the history and mixed it really well with places we tried some food. We even made our own Ceviche! What was truly outstanding was, that he did the tour even that we were a super small group!

A really cool tour! Fernando was a great host and shared a lot of interesting insights about the history of the Incas. We went to some cool spots that I probably wouldn’t have visited otherwise. I was actually surprised how many things were included in this tour and I would 100% recommend it and do it again! I think the time spent at a few of the spots could have been a bit faster; the 2.5 hour tour was actually 4 hours in the end. While I’m so grateful for his time and all his info, I had planned to grab dinner after this tour and go to bed early, so my evening was a bit interrupted and I skipped dinner. But I should have spoken up and explained that I had an early morning hike the next day, so that’s on me! Thanks again Fernando ❤️🙏🏼

Llegamos al punto de encuentro y realizamos el taller de chocolate sin hacer el tour previo (el guía no se presentó). Antonio fue fantástico, transmite su pasión por el chocolate y la elaboración de la cerveza. Recomendable!!

My friend and I loved our market and cooking class tour with Angel, our awesome local guide! He checked to make sure we were aware of the additional costs for buying the ingredients the day before so there were no hidden surprises the day of. He took us to Mercado San Pedro first and then another more local produce market to buy our ingredients. He was very patient with us when we wanted to buy a few additional personal items to try and explained a lot about all the different produce we saw while walking around. We got to try a few different exotic tropical fruits such as granadilla, soursop, and orange tomato. He also recommended a friend who was a jewelry maker, and my friend ended up buying a nice pair of silver earrings from him during the tour. Our cooking lesson took place in a shared kitchen space near San Blas Market. Angel taught us how to make 'ceviche classico' with all of our fresh ingredients. We learned to prepare the fish (Andean trout), lime zest, leche de tigre, sweet potatoes, seaweed and layer everything together. It was absolutely delicious and the best ceviche we ever had! Finally, we finished the tour with a lesson in how to make a Pisco Sour. Muchas gracias por todo Angel and the Inca Trail team!! ❤️🙏🏽👏🏽 We highly recommend this tour if you love to cook (and eat good food) and want an authentic market experience!

La nostra guida ci ha dedicato tanto tempo nello spiegarci la storia Cusco e di alcuni monumenti principali e dei mercati. Poi abbiamo preparato insieme a lui il migliore ceviche mai mangiato prima ed il miglior pisco sour mai bevuto in Perù. Consiglio vivamente di fare questo fantastico tour.

Fernando was enthusiastic and engaging in sharing his knowledge of Cusco history, music, art, language and textile. The itinerary included a glimpse inside Inka Museum and Belmond Hotel. Food tasting was delicious, particularly the stop at the organic restaurant, Soq’a Gallery. A worthwhile tour.

Fernando was very welcoming and friendly from the outset, with great communication throughout the tour. He was a local guide, and spoke very good English. His knowledge was excellent and he went above and beyond to make our experience the best it could be. We had been exploring Cusco for the last few days, but the tour Fernando took us on opened up our experiences, to places only a local would know. The tastings on route were all excellent and an opportunity to try local things... of the sweet, savoury and liquid kind. He also recommended some great restaurants to try. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fernando to anyone else looking to explore Cusco, and do so as early on in your trip as possible.
