¡Hola! Me llamo Cecilia y estoy orgullosa de ser singapurense. Siempre me ha apasionado viajar y he explorado muchos países a lo largo de los años, desde 1987, cuando me embarqué en un viaje de mochilera por Europa para trabajar y viajar durante tres increíbles años en mi juventud. Al regresar, pasé más de 20 años trabajando en la industria de los viajes, alimentando mi amor por la exploración. He aprendido mucho sobre las culturas, historias y herencias únicas de diferentes países. Cuando la pandemia golpeó en 2020, aproveché la oportunidad para redescubrir mi propio país. Me uní a recorridos locales y caminatas por la naturaleza y, para mi deleite, descubrí que Singapur también es rico en historia y patrimonio. Ahora soy una guía turística profesional registrada en la Junta de Turismo de Singapur (STB) y ¡no puedo esperar para compartir las historias de Singapur contigo!
You have about 45mins inside the URC this has a great model of Singapore and the history, development and future city plans are explained. Then a guided tour around one of the districts of Chinatown with some fantastic murals. Tour finishes at a wet market with many dining options. The market is very clean with fresh produce, unlike some markets we have experienced in Asia. Make sure to bring some water as it’s humid on an easy walk.
Cecilia was an extremely informative, interesting and engaging tour guide who gave us lots of in-depth knowledge and answers. She was fun, upbeat and we really enjoyed our tour with her. We weren’t expecting to have an overview of Singapore in the Singapore City Gallery at the start of the tour but this was really useful as a visual and informative aid and entertaining too. Cecilia is such a gem. She knows so much and was able to show us and teach us about singapore from its history until today. The Spots she took us were interesting and able to give us a well rounded picture of the rich heritage of chinatown in particular. We even had a private tour with cecilia which made it even more special :) and absolutely recommend a tour with Cecilia.
