Hi, my name is Natalie Maria Facenna, I am a native English speaker from the United Kingdom of Italian origin and I have been living in Italy for 16 years. I became an official licensed tour guide in 2017 in the city of Palermo where I lived for 9 years and subsequently moved to Catania where I currently live. I graduated from the University of Glasgow in Hispanic Studies and I am a polyglot (Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Catalan). I also completed a Masters in Tourism Management at a University in Milan and I have studied in Spain and Brazil.
I am a cultural expert and my specialties are the Baroque era, religious tourism, esoteric and popular tradition. I can tailor-make tours to meet the demands of the tourist and make them memorable for years to come.

Amazing tour! True to its name, “Baroque, Esoteric and Astrological Catania” is packed with fascinating and surprising insights. I would never have noticed the intricate details Natalie pointed out in the sculptures, statues, and architectural features I had walked past every day. The route includes places I wouldn’t have thought to explore on my own, adding an extra layer of discovery to the experience. Natalie is a great tour guide! She provided us with many interesting stories and legends, we saw the most important places, we learned about history of this region. She was also really considerate of non-English speakers (we were one big group with no other people, so no one had to wait) because she was making pauses so that we (English speakers) could translate what she just said for those and even without that they were really impressed and charmed by her energy and charisma. I really recommend this tour!
