A bit of history, a bit of trivia and a few wee jokes. Born and bred in Edinburgh, I worked as a reporter, feature writer and cinema editor on The Scotsman for 17 years and subsequently wrote regularly for the Guardian and London Times. I have written and edited several books, including The Times on Cinema and On Location - The Film Fan's Guide to Britain and Ireland. More recently I have featured as a tour guide on national television on the This Morning programme.
We decided to take Brian's tour because of his experience as a journalist and writer. We trusted it would be an insightful tour to Edinburgh, and happy to say, we were not disappointed. The nuggets of fun facts he peppered throughout the tour was great and he was very engaging throughout. The walk was also very easy as he took us down slope for most of the tour. Highly recommend to this to everybody!
Brian was an excellent guide. He had a depth of knowledge that made his comments insightful and far more than you could get from looking something up on the web.
