Youssef’s tour is fantastic and I think a must-do when in Cairo. His level of knowledge is impressive and he is able to convey the information in an entertaining manner. The tour covers multiple places with metro and cab ride in between, hence the duration in my opinion was just right at 6 hours. We’ve taken dozens of tours around the world and Youssef’s tour ranks within the top 3 in my opinion. I would highly recommend this tour without hesitation.
This is a pretty religious tour, so be mindful of that. Mohamed is a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and professional guide, and we appreciated his passion throughout the tour. However, the amount of information shared was overwhelming at times, making it hard to focus on the key points. The tour also lasted about 6 hours instead of the advertised 3.5–4 hours, which felt unnecessarily long. With clearer prioritization of information and better alignment with the stated duration, the experience could be much stronger.
One of the most in-depth tours I’ve ever taken in the 30 countries I’ve traveled to in the last year. The guide is incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and eager to share as much as possible. It did feel like information overload at some points, but he does make it clear that he knows it can be a lot and offers to cut back on the extras. I would recommend advising him if it’s too much…he didn’t seem like he’d be offended by it. Cannot recommend this tour enough!
Youssef was very informative and explained us everything in great detail. As we 2 were the only ones taking the tour on that day it was like a private tour 😉 Youssef also bargained on our behalf with the horse riders to get us a good price. And he took wonderful photos at the right spot 😊
