Hi, I’m Yoshua — I was once called Kelvin.
“The earth was formless. Empty. Darkness covered everything. That was me.
But then He said, ‘Let there be light.’ And there was light.
I didn’t just read that verse — I became it.”
After I got baptized, everything changed. I didn’t choose Jesus — He chose me. Since then, I’ve been walking in a new kind of light — and I love sharing that joy with everyone I meet.
If you join one of my tours, you’ll notice two things right away:
1. I love people.
2. I love Tanzania — the culture, the stories, the everyday life.
I don’t just guide you through streets and markets — I help you connect with real people, speak some Swahili, and experience the soul of this place. And if you're open, we might even talk about the deeper things in life too.
Let’s make memories together.
We had a fantastic walking tour of the vibrant kariakoo market with the lovely Yoshua. Yoshua was very friendly, professional and exceptionally knowledgeable. He was very passionate and showed us some amazing view points and introduced us to the bustling market, with information on its history and rich culture. We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Yoshua and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dar Es Salaam. We visited as a couple for the day from Zanzibar by ferry. Yoshua was very caring ,considerate and ensured we had a great experience. Yoshua kept us well informed with great communication before and after the walking tour. Fabulous guide and a wonderful person for us to have the privilege of meeting 😊Thank you Yoshua, from Mutahir & Ayesha.
Overall a good introduction to the market. Most likely I would not venture in there on my own. Yoshua was informative and has a passion for what he doing.
Kelvin is a nice guy. The art trip concentrates on the art market and only that. Kelvin's knowledge of this type of art is limited and he was helped by shop owners. This trip can be done without a guide. A knowledgeable person in Tanzanian art would have been more suitable.
Kelvin was great. Great afternoon! We learned a lot about local life, tried fresh food on the market and learned some new Swahili words :) Would recommend 10/10.
If you ever want to experience how hectic a market is without getting lost and swept away, this is your opportunity. I will never forget this experience and Kelvin is a cool guide. He can gave us a couple of foods to sample on the route which was nice and took us through the many different places of the market we would have had no idea were there. Thanks Kelvin for this experience!
