Nata a Xi'an e stagionata a Berlino, fanatica dei carboidrati (grano > tutto! 🌾). La colpa della mia ossessione per il cibo italiano è del mio DNA dello Shaanxi – sapevate che sono praticamente cugini dei carboidrati? – e della mia eterna dipendenza dal caffè. La mejor experiencia del viaje a China, fue realmente increíble. Wendy nos hizo sentir en casa, nos acercó su cultura y pudimos aprender hacer gyozas y biang biang noodels. Comimos todos juntos con sus padres lo cual fue una experiencia súper cercana , aprendimos de su cultura y costumbres y sin duda es la mejor manera de conocer de cerca la vida local. Sin duda repetiremos si volvemos a Xian.
This tour was absolutely delightful! The guide, Wenqi, was so friendly and she brought another guru tour guide, Juliet, with her. They were so engaging and friendly. Our first stop was the local market where we saw the meat vendors, and she explained the different types of meat, the vegetable market, and she pointed out all of the unique vegetables to China, the spices, and the eggs, including the century eggs! Then we went to her home where her mother and father were waiting. They invited us to have a seat with local snacks, fruit and milk tea, and then we went to the table to make our own dumpling dough. From start to finish they were so kind and helpful we were able to roll out our dumplings and fill them and set those aside for cooking and then we made our own biang biang noodles. Wenqi's mother cooked us a delicious feast in her kitchen while Wenqi, Juliet and her father entertained us in the living room. Then we watched her mother, assemble the noodle dish and went to the kitchen table for a feast! Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Xi'an!
One of the highlights of our trip to China was meeting Wenqi and her family and spending time with them preparing delicious food. It was an INCREDIBLE experience, and I would certainly recommend it to any traveller looking to enjoy Chinese cuisine and learn about the culture and people of this country. Wenqi's mum is an AMAZING cook — we had the BEST noodles I have ever tasted! The whole family is so nice that it was such a shame we didn't have more time, as we had to catch a flight that afternoon, but we had a great time. We just want to say a huge thank you to Wenqi and her parents for having us. Please let us know if you're ever planning to visit Spain!
