One of the best if not the best cultural tour we’ve been on in our 5 week trip in Southeast Asia. Aaron gave us a ton of local history, including Kuching’s significance in Sarawak and Malaysia as a whole, recommendations for places to go after the tour and for food, and a lot of insight into the culture of the region. He provided maps, diagrams, and other context for places we visited and answered all our questions thoughtfully. In addition, I felt that the information was presented in an easy to follow manner (we have been to museums and tours where there is just so much information that we can’t remember what we learned after, but felt like Aaron spun it into an easy to digest narrative). We wholeheartedly recommend this tour!

Not the typical oldtown tour but even better. Aaron shows you to local places and tells you many things about the historical borneo.

Information was delivered in an interesting way, saw some sights not on the tourist map. Learnt about the history and traditions of Sarawak up until the present day. Enjoyed it a lot, definitely recommend it!

Aaron was very professional and knowledgeable. I was lucky to be the only person on the walk. I appreciate the suggestions he offered for dining and other experiences.

A very interesting tour. I would have liked to have done it on my first day in kuching as Aaron provided a lot of information that would have been useful on other days. I was glad I learnt so much about the Iban tribe as I later visited the cultural village in Sarawak and recognised a lot more elements.

This tour with Aaron is definitely worth the time, especially if you are visiting Borneo (Kuching) for the first time. We learned things we would have never known except for the tour. He also had great recommendations for food places locals go to. Excellent tour.

I had the pleasure of joining Alvin's walking tour in Kuching, and it was an absolute delight! Alvin is a treasure trove of knowledge about Kuching's history, culture, and people. The way he weaves stories and anecdotes about the city's landmarks, traditions, and customs is truly captivating.

Aaron was a great guide to see Kuching. He showed us a temple and an Iban collection of items we never would have found on our own. Highly recommend his tour if you are in Kuching!!
