About the Guru

Unbelievable Bucharest started as a family business, as we wanted to share our passion for the city, being born and raised here: an aunt and a nephew. Since then, a lot more guides joined us, all of them with the same love for the city. We like to tell stories, jokes, history, traditions and never forget that our tourists are actually our extended family!

About the Tour

We start in front of the Palace of the Parliament, unveil its history and introduce our guests to the general history of Romania. Then we go to the crossing of the Dâmbovita river, not forgetting the most interesting facts about it and about the Palace of Justice, which stands proudly on one of the banks of the river.
We continue our tour of Bucharest entering the old town, visiting the Stavropoleos Monastery, learning the history behind the famous Caru' cu Bere restaurant, and walking along Victoriei Avenue before entering the Macca Villacrosse passage, a beautiful quiet place in the morning that charges life in the night when the bars are full of people. After seeing the size of the building that houses the National Bank of Romania, let's stop by Carturesti Carusel to see how this building used to be before we became the instagrammable place in the city. We will continue to find out how the communist era affected the general appearance of Bucharest.
Our next stop is dedicated to describing all the most delicious Romanian dishes, including traditions and superstitions! What would a tour be without an inn that is more than 200 years old and the oldest church still preserved in the city? It's probably not that great, so we stopped at Manuc's Inn and Saint Anthony's Church. After telling the 100% real story of the ruler who inspired the legend of Dracula, let's move on to the symbol of Rome and describe how the Romanian people were formed. We will visit the kilometer zero monument and learn about its interesting history before walking for two and a half hours in the Uuniversity Square where we will tell the story of the overthrow of the communist regime.
Do not worry; Our last stop is five minutes from restaurants and bars, in case you want to have lunch right after the tour!

We were only few days in Bucharest and decided to take this tour to get to know the better with the help of a local. It was a very cold day and Daniela came just for the two of us, so it turned out we had a private tour of Bucharest. Daniela is very professional, friendly and nice. We got to know a lot of information about the city. As a conclusion, I would definitely recommend this tour. We enjoyed every minute of it.
