Free walking tours in Split

Maggie lead an excellent tour, she had a great sense of humour and gave us loads of information. The headsets worked really well and it was a worthwhile 1.5 hours spent on a hot day.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Roko. He was positive, engaging and his passion for split showed. He ensured we had shaded spots to stand in and water to drink during the heat of the day. We personally would have preferred a little more about the history of split and even Diocletian himself to situate some of what we were looking at.

Very knowledgeable and informative guide. He was very good at always finding a shady spot for us. He did not ask where we were all from nor mention that we should give him a tip at the end. A great amount of interesting history.

I enjoyed the tour because I learned about the history and daily life nowadays in the city. The guide was informative and fun.

Split is a wonderful city, small enough to have a good time. My only issue is how crowded it is. You cannot heard the guide unless you are walking next to it. The group was big. But is fun to walk around getting to know the facts of the city.

Highly recommend. As a local history teacher Ivan had excellent knowledge and was brilliant at conveying lots of information in a structured and personable way. He put the history of Split in a wider context and the selected route was ideal. Ivan’s use of maps and pictures to illustrate points was an added bonus.

Muy recomendable

Roko was a great guide - he presented his information well and in an entertaining way. It was a fairly large group but he provided earpieces and we could hear him well. It was a hot day and he made sure we had shady places to stop. Excellent introduction to Split.

I really enjoyed Ivan's 9am tour, the streets are not only cooler but much quieter. I found the tour to be full of information, interesting details and left with a good knowledge of Splits history
