I have lived in Catalonia for five years. I love walking in the mountains and countryside and discovering ancient castles and medieval villages. Girona has a stunning coastline with beautiful beaches and coves. I have always loved history and architecture and I am always looking for new views and experiences. Girona is an impressive and fascinating city, it has many fine buildings and is rich in culture. I look forward to sharing a few of these wonderful places with you.

About the Tour

My tour takes you through the Historic Centre of Girona. On our journey through the medieval streets you will step back in time. Discover the history of the ancient sites and through stories of old, meet characters of myth and legend. Some of the historic sites were used as filming locations for the Game of Thrones series. This is an 'Easy Walking Tour', however many of the streets in the old town are cobbled and there are steps and small hills. The old town is very compact and covers a small area, so we have time to visit many of the important sites, walking at a relaxed pace and stopping to take photo's and enjoy the atmosphere of the City. We will not go into any of the buildings. Entry to the Cathedral, Arabic baths and museums is ticketed, so you may wish to return to those places to visit the interiors. The duration of my tour is approximately 2 hours. Some of the places we will visit are : The Lioness of Girona The Basilica of Sant Feliu The Arabic Baths The Cathedral The Jewish Quarter Medieval Streets of The Old Town The Steps of Sant Martí Sacosta The Eiffel Bridge PLEASE BOOK YOUR TOUR IN ADVANCE (AT LEAST 3 HOURS BEFORE THE TOUR STARTS) I accept bookings from solo travellers, but unfortunately I can only run the tour with two people or more (so if I have only received a booking from one person by the morning of that tour, I will have to cancel) I keep my groups small, usually no more than 10 people. Please leave a contact number so that I can contact you directly if necessary. If you are planning to just turn up at the meeting point it would be best to send me a message here to confirm that the tour is running...if it is, you will of course be very welcome to join us. If you would prefer to take a late afternoon or early evening tour please send me a message, I may be able to help you. If you have any other questions please send me a message.

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: On the river bank, at the head of the Sant Feliu Bridge, beside the overhead rail line and close to the car parking area. I will have a clipboard with a 'GuruWalk' sign

Christian was very nice, and he's an English native speaker with british accent, which made the explanations and stories pleasant to hear. We'd never pay attention to the details of Girona if we were alone, but we did with Christian. Thank you!
