Tour description
- In the Iguana Park or Seminary , it is a park where iguanas interact with visitors, they will pose for your photos, in front is the really beautiful Cathedral and from there you can visit the Administration Plaza, the famous Malecón 2000, the colonial neighborhood of Las Peñas, the Lighthouse and Puerto Santa Ana.
- Along the way you will see works by architects and sculptors such as the Crystal Palace . The iron pieces used for its construction were brought directly from Brussels, Belgium, and it was prefabricated by the firm Verhaeren Ca Jager Ingenerius Construiters de Bruxelles, the same factory where Gustave Eiffel made his works.
- There is a physical endurance test at Cerro Santa Ana to climb the 444 steps to the lighthouse; it is a worthwhile challenge, the reward is a 360° panoramic view of the city.
The visits will then be:
- SEMINARIO PARK (also known as Iguana Park ).
- ADMINISTRATION SQUARE: Municipal Palace, Government Building, Monument The Forge of Vulcan.
- MALECÓN 2000: Monument of the Rotunda, Tribute to the South American heroes Simón Bolívar and José San Martín.
- "LAS PEÑAS" NEIGHBORHOOD Historical heritage of the city dates back to 1800.
- Port and Santa Ana Hill (Where the city was founded) and the Guayaquil City Lighthouse.
- The Santo Domingo de Guzmán Church, dating from 1548, features crystal sculptures honoring workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Panama Street, where cacao was stored in 1870, is now home to cafes and restaurants. And there's the Cacao Museum (admission is $5) .
- Museums: Firefighters, Barcelona de Ecuador and Emelec football teams, pasillo music. Coffee Museum.
- And if there is time and you wish to visit other additional sites such as: the Artisan Market of all of Ecuador. Churches: San Francisco and La Merced.
