About the Tour

Our tour is unique because it is free for both Men and Women and is solely conducted by local female guides. Such an amazing opportunity to see the city and support young female guides that are passionate about sharing their history and culture and changing lives in refugee communities.

Our Tours range from individual to group tours.

We begin with the historical monuments within the city :

1. Independence monument

2. Sir Edward Muteesa Monument

3. War memorial monument

4. The Stride monument( Chogm 2007)

5.The sculpture of Sir Apollo Kagwa

6.Statue of leadership

We continue our city tour with;

7.Nakasero market

8.Hindu Temple Nakasero

9.Fabric Shops(optional)

10. Old Taxi Park

We stop for a short break for convenience, local food, refreshments and better views of the famous old taxi park.

After the lunch break, we proceed to

11.Gaddafi Mosque ( entrance fee required )

A must-see of the breathtaking seven hills of Kampala alongside the historical insight of how the famous Kampala gets its name. The Mosque also offers an opportunity to discover more about religion and culture in Kampala.

12.1000 cups of coffee (highly recommended)

We end the tour with the taste of uniquely brewed Uganda coffee at 1000 cups of coffee at the heart of Kampala.

13.African village Craft market (Not to be missed)

This an optional tour for those interested in souvenirs it just a crossover from the coffee place.

Our tours are mainly walking so come ready to explore the city on foot. We also use safe Boda for places not accessible by foot ( local motorcycles where necessary).
