Tour description

From the creators of the multi-award-winning tour “Milan that Surprises” comes:
Secret and Unknown Milan, "the Roman, Fascist, and Canal Milan.”

Did you know that Milan was the capital of the Roman Empire for over a century? And that in this city fascism was founded? And that a few decades ago Milan had kilometers of navigable canals connecting it with all of Europe?

Get ready to discover this and much more in an exciting narrative journey full of history, art, mystery, and emotion, visiting the lesser-known -but no less spectacular- places of an ancient city that still awaits to be discovered!

ITINERARY:

Our tour focuses on the southern historic center: From the historic center through the ancient heart of the Roman city and the key places of fascism, passing by the Italian stock exchange and the spectacular Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio, to the alternative neighborhood of the Columns of San Lorenzo, ending at the wonderful navigable canals (navigli), the heart of Milanese nightlife.

In this tour, we WILL NOT SEE the Duomo (cathedral), nor any of the city's most classic monuments. For that, sign up for our tour: "Classic and Monumental Milan"

The tour ends in the canal area, 5 minutes from the PORTA GENOVA metro station (GREEN LINE)

•Groups are limited to 40 people*

•Groups of a maximum of 8 people per reservation, for larger groups contact us privately.
