About the tour

*What is "French Concession"?

*The Former French Concession was a foreign concession area in Shanghai, China from 1849 until 1943.For much of the 20th century, this area remained the premier residential and retail district of Shanghai, and was also one of the centers of Catholicism in China. Despite re-development over the last few decades, the area retains a distinct character, and is a popular tourist destination.

What's the price?

A guruwalk is a pay-what-you want walking tour, which means, it's completely free to book and join the group, but the 'guru' expects to be rewarded once the tour ends. Some people give 5, some people give 50, you choose the price.

Reservations in advance are mandatory because if the 'guru' doesn't see any bookings one day, she will not show up at the meeting point. Or if she has too many 'walkers' that day, won't allow you to join without the reservation. Booking is completely free, fast and easy. Book your guruwalk now!

A good tour with a lot of information and history of Shanghai. The pace is fast at times. I also liked the old shangha bits. Maybe a refreshment stop would help?

There was time to sit but sitting at a table is better. Do give all your support to these young enthusiasts.
