Sam (Sanghyeok) is very knowledgable and taught us so much. He is very friendly as well and flexible!!! This tour with Sam is highly recommended.

We took Markos tour a couple of days into our stay in Seoul but our first day in Gangnam. Since it is a quite new district of the city, I didn’t expect too much historical input, but Marko did great in sharing information on the historical and cultural aspects and combining them with fun and interesting facts from modern times (such as the matchmaking events at the Baileys!). It was nice getting to know the view on Seoul of a foreigner, who has been living in Korea for a while, since he didn’t romanticise the city as much as most foreigners that have come only recently. We absolutely recommend the tour, if you have the time, because he spent over three hours with us and even some makgeolli was included in the tour!

We took the tour with Jongmyeong on our first day in Seoul and enjoyed it a lot! The tour covered the most important places in the district and Jongmyeong gave us some historical and cultural insights. It was great to get an insider view on the sights visited as well as some ideas what to do and places to eat which aren’t too touristy. Especially the recommended barbecue place was phenomenal. We ate there a couple of times afterwards and always were the only tourists there. Jongmyeong also took the current heatwave into account, taking us from shade to shade and not walking too fast. As I have already experienced other tours in Seoul with similar itineraries, I can compare them quite well and recommend joining Jongmyeongs tour if you want a really good tour!
