Charles is a friendly and interesting guide. Amazing how in only about 1km of buildings along the Bund there is so much history. Plus tips for inside of buildings to try to see in daytime. Very nice touch is that they now have mid tour snack break - chance to experience food, sit, and talk with each other.

Great tour with a lot of relevant info about the city and Shanghai history. Easy to walk around and saw a lot of major attractions. I highly recommend it for foreigners, the English tour was amazing.

A fantastic introduction to Shanghai! Our two local guides were knowledgeable, warm and professional, alternating in a way that added great variety. Their personal anecdotes and genuine insights made the history come alive. A nice touch was their questioning strategy, constantly engaging the group by asking us to complete sentences or share what we already knew. It kept everyone connected and alert throughout. The group itself was a lovely mix of travellers from many countries. Minor suggestion: slightly fewer breaks and occasionally deeper dives into the architecture would make an already excellent tour even richer. Highly recommended as a first stop in Shanghai.

Bill is a highly knowledgeable and professional tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Bill provided us with good historical facts and catered to our needs as we were traveling with 2 wheelchairs for elderly parents. His insights to Shanghainese history and culture was much appreciated considering he is a true local. Would definitely recommend Bill for your Guru walk experience.

I was really impressed and positive suprised from the tour. Jie was amazing, the tour Route, the stories gave us a tasting from Shanghai. I always participate in free walking tours and I must admit, that this tour with Jie belongs to the best one I ever took part in. This tour with Jie is a recommendation for everyone who wants to know the old side of Shanghai and have some funny hours walking to the charming Shanghai.
