Tour description
This amusing and relaxed walking tour will introduce you to Dhaka city’s cultural blend along with a glimpse of its modern city dwellers art and living style. The tour starts with a modern art exhibition and a small walk around the city’s cultural hub Dhanmondi. You will discover how the city dwellers are enjoying their free time and you would have a chance to indulge yourself with some local street food if you feel like it. The two and a half kilometers of walking tour will include free entrance and visit of a few mesmerising points of interest including a Modern Art exhibition, Rabinda Sarobar (the famous open stage for performing Art Theatre), Boat riding in Dhanmondi Lake (at your own cost), French Cultural Hub in Dhaka City, a local street market and many more! You might find the monkeys stealing cookies from the tea stall if you're lucky and have lots and lots of funny moments within this short walk. This tour will end at Dhaka College, from where you can take a local rickshaw (Tuk Tuk ride) if you feel like it. We will visit New Market, one of the oldest shopping area in Dhaka, where I will help you understand how to bargain in Bangladeshi style! You can also try some famous ‘Dhakaiya’ street food and take some fabulous recipe with you to try at home!
