Free walking tours in Dhaka

I had a great experience on the free walking tour in Dhaka with Gorge. He is a very knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming host who made the city come alive with insightful explanations. Beyond the tour itself, Gorge went above and beyond by helping me organize tours in other parts of Bangladesh, which was very helpful and much appreciated. Overall, I felt very well taken care of throughout my time. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dhaka! Thank you George for your time! Pocas veces escribo una review, pero ánimo encarecidamente a todo el que lea esto de que coja este tour. Lo hice solo y es lo mejor que hice ya que es imposible ver todo lo que Dhaca ofrece si vas por libre (y te lo dice un viajero con más de cien países a la espalda). Hacerlo con alguien local te ahorra tiempo y dinero. Enormemente agradecido a George y volvería a repetir una y mil veces el tour. muchas gracias!!

Even though I have visited Dhaka previously I wanted to get a better grasp of the city. Rosetta was great!! She skipped the places I've been and took me to new places so that I learned more. Greatly appreciated her customization and making sure that I had a great time.

From the very beginning, Rosetta reached out to coordinate the meeting point and starting time for the tour. She asked about my interests and what I planned to visit on my own, and then tailored the itinerary accordingly. She showed great flexibility and an impressive depth of knowledge on a wide range of topics. Her excellent English also made communication effortless. We explored the city on foot and by rickshaw, which added a special charm to the experience. Without a doubt, she turned my first day in Bangladesh into an unforgettable introduction to the country. Tolle Geschichtliche Tour durch Dhaka. Sie konnte mir viel aus der Vergangenheit und was zur Zeit so in dem Land abgeht erzählen. War wirklich interessant und man kommt zu manchen Orten die man sonst nie gefunden hätte. Kann die Tour nur empfehlen.

What a fun and informative few hours we had walking around Dhaka with Rosetta. She is a bundle of local knowledge, historical, political and social. She is passionate about her country, it's people, art, poetry, past, present and future. She is comfortable to be with from the outset and happy to tailor the walk to what we were interested in. Rosetta has a very generous and kind heart and it is clear her main intention is to teach visitors about her people and their history. We had a wonderful afternoon looking at art, tasting the amazing local food, seeing sights, architecture and culture. We would highly recommend a walk with Rosetta to anyone visiting Dhaka. Rosetta perfectly tailored the tour to the important parts of Dhaka. We visited different markets, parks, fairs and art exhibitions. We sampled food and interacted with locals. And of course we took a rickshaw. I've learned so much about Dhaka and Bangladesh. I highly recommend taking this tour.

The afternoon with Rosetta didn't feel like a normal tour, it felt like exploring the city together with a (very knowledgeable!) friend. I was the only one on the tour and Rosetta adjusted the route according to my interests. If you're in Dhaka, this is your choice!

George was fantastic and knowledgeable tour guide - he is a local so really knows his stuff. The tour was very informative and helpful really is helpful and trustworthy person. He was a great at recommending other places to visit across Bangladesh and often helps travellers with their travels. I definitely recommend taking the tour with Gorge in the morning as it is very comprehensive and you'll get a lot done!! Glad I made contact with him and will certainly be contacting him again when I am back in Dhaka!!

Rosetta is a wonderful guide with fluent English and international education background.We go through New Market,book bazaar，Dhaka University and other local attractions.It's really hard finding someone with abundant knowledge and insights like Rosetta.Really recommend!

Rosetta is an exceptionally good walking tour guide - she asks beforehand about your interests and tailors the tour to meet them. We had an arts and culture focused tour visiting some fascinating spots I would have never seen without her. It was a very well paced tour with several stops for tea, and a great mix of walking and stopping to look at sights. I highly recommend Rosetta's tour!

Day was ok, Gorge bring me to very nice places, great to discover Dhaka. Nevertheless, he showed up 1h late, didn’t share the planning clearly and asked for more money that I offered.

He came in the lobby of our hotel and we went around the city of Dhaka. He was very professional and friendly with extremely good knowledge of the history of the city. He showed us around and after our tour he brought us back to out hotel. Thank you Gorge

He has recommended me to go outside Dahka because it should be more valuable, so we went Sonargaon, southwest from Dahka by 2 hours car ride. Consequently it is very good option. He is very trustable person and has many options for visitors. I can encourage the persons who go to Dahka to contact him.

On this day Gorge took me to a rural area outside Dhaka to experience more authenticity and how people live in the villages. It was an amazing tour, we visited one of his friends and had a lot of local food prepared for lunch. He also took care of booking all the train tickets and transfers, which would have been impossible for me. Thanks very much Gorge, would definitely recommend to everyone to meet him and take a tour with him!
