Hello! My name is Teen Teen and I’ve lived in KL for over 20 years. Come join me for a morning walk in an intimate group of up to 5 pax to see what this amazing city has to offer. I’m sure we’ll have a great time (especially if you’re a foodie😉)!
There's no better way to start the tour than from the amazing KLCC Petronas Twin Towers, the most iconic building in Kuala Lumpur! From here we will take a short stroll towards the base of KL Tower.
We then leave the area and hop on the GOKL bus to the older part of the city. Here we will be on foot again to admire some amazing street art and murals, check out a Hindu temple, a Chinese temple, and admire a Mosque from the River of Life waterfront. We then move on to Merdeka Square, where we end our tour.
What about food? Well, there’ll definitely be stops to sample some local food. I’m also open to any interesting items you like to try during the walk.
** You may want to bring a hat/umbrella as it’ll be hot ☀️ 🥵
** Have a debit card (Visa/Mastercard) with you for the bus ride 🚌
** Ladies, please wear something that cover your shoulders and knees for the temple
** Come with an appetite and a sense of humour 😉
We meet at the bus stop outside Suria KLCC mall, which is at the exit of the KLCC metro station. You will see GOKL buses in apple green with a blue roof. I’m there with a red daypack and a light blue hat.
The starting point of our tour! I'll be sharing the story and some fun facts about this building. You'll also get to know where to get the best pictures of the towers.
We'll be taking a look at the tower from a distance, while getting some information and recommendation about this place.
Hope you're hungry or need a second breakfast because it's time to try some local street snacks. We’ll also visit a couple of temples in this area.
Get to know about this market from its early days to the present. We'll breeze through it, but I'm sure you'll be tempted to return!
At this waterfront is the picturesque Masjid Jamek mosque. We'll learn about how the city grew from its humble beginning. Be prepared for a quiz ;-)
We end the tour at the original icon of KL. Spend some time to take in this beautiful landmark and cool down at the KL City Gallery.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
