Free walking tour Lindau Island - Germany's Happy End
Tour description
Born on the island of Lindau, having lived and worked here for many years, it has become the center of my life. I know all the alleys, corners, many stories, and also the history of the small island in Lake Constance.
The tour begins at the main entrance of the train station. On our walk, you can see many historical buildings, but also the daily life of the locals. I will tell some history, but mainly stories that give you a better insight and explain some legends and "specialties" of this small island. You will see the Diebsturm, an old prison, the Zitronengässele, the smallest alley, the largest lion, the oldest church (over 1000 years old), the best places to swim or to take good photos. I will explain what the locals like best and what is easily overlooked by tourists when they walk through the small narrow alleys and are fascinated by this charming old town.
The Free Walking Tour Lindau is a completely new project. During the tour, we will take a short break at the marketplace with the opportunity to have a coffee or a small snack. Try "Leberkäs" ... if you dare ... The tour takes place if it is booked and confirmed at least the day before.
