Free Tour of the port and the Red Light District

Duration: 2h

"Hamburg On Foot" means Free Tour, it means guided tours and authentic walks. Jan is a Hamburger, born and raised in this city. He speaks Spanish almost like an Argentine and he is going to show you Hamburg as he knows it. Oscar is already almost more Hamburger than Argentine too. If you like tango don't forget to ask him which are the most important tango venues here in Hamburg. Fernando has lived in Hamburg for more than 40 years. He has a very particular humor and would like to show you this charming city from his point of view. Ramiro is the youngest of our team, but be careful! he knows very well where he is living and he would like to surprise you and show you this city by looking at it through his eyes.

Tour description

Free Tour of the port and the red light district with the blue umbrellas! We wait for you with the blue umbrellas in the Plaza de la Unidad Alemana in front of the Elbe Philharmonic at 14:15 pm for the Free Tour. We will travel * if possible on the ferry "72" through the port, which to this day remains one of the most important in the world (€ 1.80). You will know details of the old Elbe tunnel and the fish market. You will find out about the city of Altona, the neighboring city of Hamburg. Then the tour will continue through the St. Pauli district and the red light district, including the story of the Beatles, who began their career here in Hamburg in this ambiguous neighborhood full of images not suitable for minors. Due to this, the tour is not the most suitable for children, although they are always welcome and the tour will adapt to this circumstance. This neighborhood suffered and continues to suffer from gentrification and is the most alternative in the city. Then a little "sex, drugs and Rock'n'Roll. The tour will end depending on the guide in the smallest police station in Germany or in the Beatles square at 16:15 pm * Due to covid-19 in At the moment the Ferry is not operating. In adverse weather conditions or due to capacity problems the Ferry will not operate either. In these cases the tour will continue its route as indicated in the description.
NOTE: Participation cannot be guaranteed with reservations less than 24 hours before the event. Deadline we need to inform in the event of a tour cancellation.
