Stone town is the birthplace of Zanzibar's history, religions, and cultures. It is the beating heart of Zanzibar, throughout the centuries it was a very important meeting point for all races of people. It was here the journey for the expedition of the discoveries for the source of the Nile river began in 1857, missionaries, sailors and slave traders have left their marks here. the evidence of their legacy is still seen in the populations, the cultures, and the architectures

    The old slave market was a site where slaves from Eastern Africa part of the central were brought at market waiting for negotiation and sold to Arabs merchant who came to buy slaves for the work in the date plantations and some as a domestic workers in an Arabs houses, the site which used to be a slave market constructed a church by English missionary to mark the end for the abolition of slave trade in 1873

Nassor was lovely and professional. It was very very hot on the day we went but he made sure we had water and found shade when needed. Had a lovely afternoon walking around Stonetown and would recommend to anyone to have a tour!
