Hello everyone! I am Valeria, Neapolitan, born and raised in the Spanish neighborhoods, my grandfather has lived in the same house here in this centennial neighborhood for 65 years! In love with Naples and a passionate student of its history, I love sharing who I am and what I know with travelers from all over the world. Graduated from the Oriental of Naples in Languages and Cultures, I then moved to Turin to specialize with a master's degree in International Communication for Tourism. A tireless traveler, I have dedicated my educational career to language learning and tourism. I have lived in Japan, Spain and Turin, having the opportunity to meet so many beautiful and different people! I love visiting places far from my native culture: what I believe in the most is the cultural and human exchange that occurs between travellers. My goal is to shift attention from classic mass tourism to a more intimate and conscious tourism, aimed at creating an exchange between knowledge and a deep understanding of the places visited. The dialogues between traveler and guide are the key to an experience that looks at the whole territory. An immersive, 360° approach that will engage you personally. You will enrich your knowledge not only thanks to the places visited, but, above all, thanks to contact with the people who live there, learning from them, meeting craftsmen, interacting with passers-by, tasting local products.

Tour description

Hello everyone! I'm Valeria and I want to invite you to get to know the Rione Sanità with me, who grew up in the heart of Naples! During my experiences we will focus on the history of the places, but also on the people and characters that make Naples a special city . There will be a way to talk to people and I will try to make you understand the Neapolitan mentality, analyzing the history of the city.

The Rione Sanità is one of the most evocative popular neighborhoods in Naples! It contains splendid eighteenth-century architecture, street art by international artists, popular markets and shops, sacred and profane, art workshops, secret gardens ... There really is everything!
We will cross its main street where the history, traditions and popular culture from antiquity to the present day will be narrated, with a careful look at everything that is also the urban redevelopment and social redemption of the entire neighborhood.

Starting from the StreetArt of this centuries-old district, the stories of illustrious characters will be told, representatives of the most authentic and true "Neapolitan style".

Among history, art, theater, street art, you will visit:

  • Porta San Gennaro
  • Palazzo dello Spagnuolo
  • Village of the Virgins
