FOOD TOUR

Let's inmerse into the commercial, crowdy, chaotic, noisy and over-whelming streets around Central Market, China Town and it's surroundings. Besides, support the local vendors, learn a lot of interesting facts, and have tons of fun! Just show up and pick up your spork to attack and taste our carefully selected choices of peruvian delicacies, learn about peruvian gastronomy, multiculturality, history of inmigrants related to food, social problems and local life. And guess what? You will get to know the real Peru, and improve your understanding about what do peruvians do to survive in this city of insanity. Too good to be true? Take a glance to our long and passionate reviews on GuruWalk!

Our list of possible snacks:

  • choclo con queso
  • papa rellena
  • chicha morada
  • ceviche
  • siu mae
  • anticucho
  • picarones
  • surprises
  • exotic fruits

* You should tell your guide if you have any food restriction.

* NO SHOPPING / COMISSION TOURS *
We don't visit any kind of store with touristic traps.

* Even though, GuruWalk -suggests- that tips should be between 10 to 50 euros per person according to the quality of the experience. We consider that each individual should donate according to their personal satisfaction. HOWEVER, GuruWalk charges us 2 euros per person, and since Soles to Euros exchange rate from our Peruvian bank is not in our favor. We simply expect a fair and conscious retribution by your side. As well as we have no problem if you already have high expectations about us. Because we do offer a 10/10 service.

* Keep your WhatsApp updated and linked to GuruWalk. By default, I'll send you mine through automatic message. We should be in touch since the moment of your reservation.

* Have you loved our tour? Please leave us an opinion (Review).

Thank you!

This is the best tour I have ever done - you have to do it!!! This is the way to really know Peruvian culture. Bruce took us to the best places, explained so much of the culture through food and gave us the full experience, even buying some fruits at the stall and cutting them for us to try. I would repeat it anytime. If you are a foodie, this is the one tour you have to do. Best best best, gracias Bruce!!!

This tour was excellent from start to finish, he had excellent knowledge of all the food we tasted and was able to answer all our questions. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend booking to get an authentic Peruvian street food experience.

I would highly recommend this tour with a difference. It gives a really good explanation of the history and sociology of Lima particularly as it relates to the communities who migrated to Lima from the more remote areas of the country. Then you get to try all sorts of local street food that you may never try if you’re just walking around by yourself. The tour takes you through the markets and streets that are outside the normal areas covered by tourists.

Bruce is a great guide. 100% recommend taking this tour. I was the only person On tour this day and he took me to all very good places. Because he was a great guide I decided to take his Barranco tour in the afternoon. Don't hesitate take his tours.

Bruce was very gentle, funny and welcoming. He likes to talk a little bit about his personal background and life experience at the introduction. Unfortunately, the day we did the tour, there was a protest against the Parlament. So, Bruce has to change the typical route of the tour and It was awesome. It felt like it doesn't matter where he would have taken us. Bruce knows his whole city better than Google maps. He even brought his own sporks for us! Food was super delicious, reliable and I felt like I have learnt a lot of interesting facts about peruvian culture and gastronomy.
