My wife, Nidhi and I have been passionately travelling and exploring different cultures for the past 13-14 years. Our love for travel has only grown over the years, and we have been Hosts on various platforms since July 2019. Tour description

Diwali - Festival of Lights - is the biggest Indian Festival.

Every year in the months of October & November, the celebrations for Diwali happen in India. If you're in India around this time, do not miss this Experience where you get a rare chance to participate in the Festivities.

In 2025, this Experience is available to book only from 11th October to 31st October.

The Experience is planned, in chronological order, as below -

1. You shall be given a traditional welcome at our home with teeka, maala & kalava.

2. Detailed information on Diwali shall be explained, including the why, how, when and what of Diwali.

3. Enjoy some delicacies prepared for the Festival.

4. Take a tour of the entire home beautifully decorated for the Diwali Festive Season.

5. Make a Rangoli (artwork on floor using coloured sand, flowers and lamps).

6. Participate in a Diwali prayer and light candles & lamps.

7. Indulge yourself in a delicious meal (including a Dessert).

8. Enjoy some fireworks which are an essential part of the Diwali celebrations.

9. Participate in an informal music & dance sequence at our home.

10. Paint diyas (clay lamps) for the Diwali Festival and carry them with you after the Experience.

11. Towards the end of the Tour, the Guests shall be provided with a very special souvenir from Indian culture.

You shall have free access to super fast wi-fi at our home.

We use filtered water in our cooking and serve unlimited bottled mineral water to the Guests during the Experience.

It will be an unforgettable day of your life where you shall take part in a major Indian Festival.

During the Tour, you'll be free to take as many pictures & videos of the celebrations.

You shall find the Guru at the Entrance Gate of Sanskriti Apartment, Sector 19B, Dwarka, Delhi - 110075. Wearing spectacles, the Guru shall be carrying the Mobile with him & a big smile on his face. The Guest shall receive detailed arrival instructions (very easy to follow) from the Guru after the Booking.
