Tour description

If you are in India during March when the Holi Festival (Festival of Colours) is being celebrated, you should not miss celebrating this Festival with locals.

This shall be an unforgettable Tour and will surely be remembered throughout one's life.

Holi is a major festival of India - full of fun, colours, crackers, music, dance, snacks, sweets & drinks.

It is celebrated by all Indians (including non-Hindu communities) in the month of March but on a different date each year as per Hindu lunar Calendar.

In 2023, Holi will be celebrated on Wednesday, 8th March.

First of all, we shall give you a traditional welcome in our home with a teeka, maala & kalava.

Then we shall provide you snacks, refreshments & masaala tea. We shall also explain you the reason why Holi is celebrated in India since very ancient times.

Thereafter, we shall go walking to the park in the Apartment where our home is located to enjoy the Holi festival. Here we shall play Holi with local community using coloured dyes, powder colour, water balloons and water guns in the park. Simultaneously, we shall have non-alcoholic drinks, local snacks and traditional Indian sweets together with frenetic dancing & celebration on bollywood songs. Throw, splash & get drenched in multiple colours while enjoying Holi.

You shall also be provided with colourful caps, headgear, shades, masks etc. for playing Holi.

After playing Holi we shall return to our home where you can change your spoiled clothes. We expect you to bring a set of fresh clothes for yourself to be worn after playing Holi.

Subsequently, you can have community vegetarian Lunch (and dessert) with us.

Towards the end of the Tour, the Guests shall be provided with a very special souvenir from Indian culture.

During the Tour, you'll be free to take as many pictures & videos of the Holi celebrations.

It will be a memorable day of your life where you shall take part in the major Indian Festival.

After the Booking, the Guest shall receive more detailed instructions & information from the Guru about the Tour.

Note - The Guru expects generous gratitude from the Guest as this is an Experience of a lifetime which happens just on only one day in India. However, whatever the Guest offers shall be heartily accepted by the Guru.

For the Guru to host such a unique tour is certainly very kind of him. One rarely gets a chance to participate in a Hindu festival and this tour provides you such a golden opportunity. The tour is a complete package in itself - total entertainment.I most recommended this tour to Guests visiting India around Holi Festival in March. Do not miss it.

This was a fabulous tour in which I actually participated in one of the most important festivals of India - Holi. Apart from delicious snacks, food, sweets & drinks which I got to eat, I learnt a lot about the festival from Roopak. I also got a chance to interact with so many locals when I participated in the festival. The Tour was really fun and surely not to be missed if you're in Delhi. 5 Stars and highly recommended.
