Julia has a gift for making history engaging and accessible. She answered all our questions thoughtfully and even welcomed our perspectives with genuine curiosity. You can tell she truly loves what she does and wants every guest to walk away with a deeper appreciation for Vietnam. Beyond the information, what stood out most was Julia’s kindness and joy — she made us feel not like tourists, but like welcomed friends. This tour wasn’t just informative, it was truly memorable. I had one of the best tours ever. Was very personal, really well paced, it didn’t feel too exhausting and Lisa was really easy between sharing history as well as some personal stories. I was super tired from an early train but she made it so easy for me to enjoy.

Our guide, Stella, was great. She's very knowledgeable and she could answer all of our follow up questions. Her stories about her family with regards to the war grounded our understanding of the struggle of the Vietnamese people. We toured the war museum and hoa lu prison. Our tour experience was definitely made better because of her.
