Docks and Queens: A London Story ( From Canary Wharf to Greenwich)

Welcome to my walking tour.

Exploration, trade and empire on one side of the river. Queens and royal history on the other. Both stories told on one scenic route, finishing with a magnificent view of London.

The Story of the Docks

The first story answers a simple question: Why is this stretch of water here in the first place?

This was once the beating heart of the Empire's trade, ships coming in loaded with goods from every corner of the world. We'll explore how it came to be, and why it was necessary.

Between stories we will go through open fields and a city farm in the middle of the Isle of Dogs, with the towers we have just left standing behind us.We head to the river and cross beneath it through a walking tunnel.

The Story of Queens

The second story answers another common question: Why are these buildings here?

We'll talk about what happened during roughly the same period, but this time inside Britain. We'll see how these buildings came to be, told through the perspective of four queens.

The Tour Will End On the Greenwich Park Hilltop where we will have a beautiful viewpoint of London

The Distance of the tour is 2.5 Miles, Depending on Pace and stops it can take between 1.5 and 2.5 Hours.
