Free tour Discover Valencia with "Rapunzel"

We will begin our small journey through Medieval Valencia at the Torres de Serranos, an emblematic place in the city located near the old course of the Turia River. We will move towards the heart of Roman Valentia along the Via Augusta, where we will learn about the most important temples in the city.

I will tell you who the Patroness of Valencia is and her endearing story, and I will also reveal what treasure the Cathedral holds. We will also approach one of the most important commercial areas of Valencia in the 15th century, the famous Silk Exchange, and we will end our visit at the Central Market.

These are the main sites and monuments (among many others) that we will see during the tour:

  • Torres de Serranos
  • Plaza de Manises
  • Palace of the Borja
  • Archbishop's Palace
  • Cathedral
  • Almoina
  • Basilica of the Virgin of the Forsaken
  • Plaza de la Virgen
  • Pl. de la Reina
  • Pl. de Santa Catalina
  • Plaza Redonda
  • The Silk Exchange
  • Central Market
  • Church of the SS. Juanes

Dear friends, we will only visit the exterior of the monuments. At the end of the visit, I will gladly recommend other places to visit and answer any questions you may have.

Hi! My name is Natalie, I’m an official tourist guide in Valencian Community, Spain. It goes without saying that Valencia is a queen of the Community, it’s a perfect tourist destination throughout the year. Fantastic city centre, wide beaches, lovely parks including the old riverbed Turia, one of the largest lineal parks in Europe; museums and cultural centres, concerts and festivals, plenty of children’s playgrounds, a huge African zoo - Bioparc, and The Oceanographic, the largest aquarium in Europe! You will never be bored in Valencia. What do you think is the best way to get to know a foreign country? It is definitely a nice walk with a person who is deeply in love with it. And I can assure you that it’s me. You will see Valencia both through the tourist and spanish eyes. Let’s take this trip together!
