Hello dear world travelers my name is Enrique but all my friends and those who know me in my city call me Kike. I started as a Guide in Granada, Nicaragua for the year 2004 and through the years I have worked for many companies as a freelance. By 2023 I have 19 years of experience and throughout my country and it would be my pleasure to teach you the rich and interesting history of my country. It will be a pleasure for me to serve you and have a good time with good memories of my city.
Welcome to Nicaragua! The oldest city on the American continent that still remains in the same place where it was founded. I propose a very complete 3-hour tour in which to have a first contact and find out with a local.
We started in Central Park at the Cruz del Siglo.
We visit Xalteva Park , an ancient indigenous settlement of Xalteva before the arrival of the Spanish, where we can appreciate the Xalteva Church , the ancient walls of Xalteva built in 1751 and the Plaza de Xalteva.
We will continue through the Church and the tower of the Virgen de la Merced where you will be able to appreciate a 360º panoramic view.
Our next stop will be the chocolate factory where you can learn more about the history of chocolate and taste the products made in the same factory.
Our next steps:
Also, there will be a lot of history of Nicaragua from the arrival of the Spanish, the invasions of pirates, the independence of the country, the civil war, the famous story of William Walker, the only American to be president of Nicaragua, the invasion of United States marines, the 43-year dictatorship and the FSLN Sandinista revolution
I have 19 years of experience all over my country and it would be my pleasure to teach you about the rich and interesting history of my country. It will be my pleasure to serve you and enjoy with good memories of my city.
I will be right next to the mother monument in central park, always wearing cap and shorts.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
