Tour description

Hop on a bike, and we will discover the daily life of the local people in Hoi An. Far from the tourist hub of the old town, we will cycle on a scenic, narrow road through rice fields. Say hello to the buffaloes and gain an understanding of the rice farming process, witnessing how it grows in the wet fields. Stop by the 300-year-old Tra Que vegetable village, where you will be amazed by the variety of herbs and veggies, and learn the secrets to a long and healthy life.

Continuing the trip, we will cycle to a local market, where we will teach you practical Vietnamese phrases for bargaining, expressing gratitude, and giving compliments. You can also taste some unique and delicious fruits. Along the way, we will stop by the riverside to enjoy a special treat beverage. You will have the option to hop on a coconut boat, known as "Thúng Chai," to explore the waterways flanked by coconut palms. All your questions about the local way of life will be answered during this experience.

This is going to be a fun and enjoyable ride as you explore alongside a local friend.

Hoàng was our guru and he was absolutely amazing and helpful. We learned so much about Vietnamese culture and Hoi An traditions. The tour is comprehensive, covering everything from the city to the rice crops, the vegetable village to learn about the herbs and the local community, back to the city to experience the vibrant local market and food (vegan for us), finishing with a visit to the coconut forest and traditional food (with a vegan version) at the Old House. So full-on! We loved it. We highly recommend it, but as helpful advice and a warning, be well-covered for the cycling tour, or you will get burnt. We did the tour in April, which is the dry season and the hottest time of the year.

We enjoyed our tour with Vinh! Our destinations were the rice fields, a local farm (you can see buffaloes, chicken, ducks) and the vegetable village. Vinh explained so much to us and answered all our questions without hesitation. Totally recommend to spend your morning in Hoi An! At the end we recieved many food and drink recommendations :)
