Free city tour Manizales

Manizales, located in the heart of the Colombian Andes, is a city known for its impressive mountainous landscape, its coffee culture, and its colonial architecture full of history.
The free tour in Manizales offers a unique experience where the beauty of the region is combined with the friendliness of its people.

Itinerary:
The tour begins at the cable tower, one of the most prominent architectural and tourist icons of the city, where we will learn about its history and also see the cable tower station. We will learn how, over the years, the cable tower has had different uses (from being a means of transport to becoming a monument and cultural heritage).
We will also get to know some important structures in the cable area, which is currently one of the favorite spots for the people of Manizales and university students, due to its significant tourist and commercial importance (it has a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, and the best nightclubs).
From the Cable, we will take public transportation (costing 2500 COP) to the neighborhood of Chipre, where we can visit the best viewpoint in the city. This is where the famous poet Pablo Neruda created a special bond with Manizales, attributing to it the name of sunset factory.

In Chipre, we will visit:

• Viewpoints to see the best sunsets
• Monument to the Colonizers
• Chipre Church and its history
