MEDIEVAL CUENCA
Tour description
We are a group of three official Cuenca guides who are in love with their city. Together, we've spent 17 years showing you the hidden corners of the historic center, recounting its most unusual anecdotes, and reliving its legends.
Our hallmark is a sense of humor and trying to engage travelers on the tour. The more questions, the better.
All our guided tours begin at the Town Hall Arches and last two hours.
Discover a medieval historic center preserved for centuries and declared a World Heritage Site.
We'll walk through the upper part of the city, exploring its intricate streets and stopping to admire its churches, palaces, convents, and viewpoints overlooking the deep ravines of the Huécar and Júcar rivers.
During the first hour We will walk completely through the most beautiful street in the old town: Ronda de Julián Romero.
After learning about the history of the former Colegio de San José and delighting in several spectacular viewpoints, we'll arrive at the former Inquisition Tribunal to marvel at its terrifying history and enjoy unforgettable views.
Afterwards, we will descend the lonely Ronda del Júcar and we will be able to enjoy the facades of the Cathedral and the Hanging Houses , to finish by discovering the incredible history of the San Pablo Bridge.
If you arrive late, you can join us at Plaza de Ronda, where we will be explaining the first 10 minutes. If you arrive later, we will meet at the Casas Colgadas (but remember that punctual people will meet under the arches of the Town Hall).
