Tour description
✨ Join us to discover the Historic Center of Guadalajara, a place where every corner holds a story and every square breathes art and daily life.
We will start in front of the Giant Head (Tree Inside) by José Fors, a contemporary piece inspired by Nobel Prize winner Octavio Paz, which marks the creative pulse of the city. Then we will move towards the Rotunda of Illustrious Jaliscienses, a space that pays tribute to the men and women who have left their mark on the state's history.
Our route will take us to the imposing Guadalajara Cathedral, with its unmistakable towers and its mix of architectural styles. Very close by stands the Kiosk of the Muses, a wrought iron jewel brought from Paris that adds a European touch to the heart of Guadalajara. We will continue to the Degollado Theater, one of the most emblematic stages in the country, where art has shone for more than a century and a half.
Just a few steps away, we will discover the Founders' Fountain, a piece that recalls the origin of Guadalajara in 1542. Its elegant design and symbolic significance make it an ideal spot for taking photos and appreciating the historical essence of the city.
We will also visit the Coat of Arms of Guadalajara, an emblem that has safeguarded the identity of Guadalajara since the 16th century. And to end on a high note, we will approach the Hospicio Cabañas, declared a World Cultural Heritage site and home to the majestic murals of José Clemente Orozco.
👣 This walking tour is the perfect opportunity to delve into the essence of Guadalajara accompanied by a local guide. Come and experience the history, art, and soul of Guadalajara in a tour full of charm!
