Take a tour with me around the bustling and vibrant Medieval city of Kilkenny, which is known for its vibrant history, heritage, food, culture, the arts, music, its love of Hurling (a national sport) and the people who have made it their home across the centuries.  
  
We will explore the ugly truth about what it was like to live in Medieval Ireland, the realities of life under Norman Rule and the role Kilkenny has and continues to play their part in Irelands cultural, artistic and culinary traditions both at home and abroad.
 
On this walking tour you will also be introduced to some of Kilkenny's City hidden gems such as one of Irelands oldest licensed pubs, its medieval walls, graveyards and monastic heritage including one of only two Round Towers in Ireland that is open to the public.
 
Please be advised that this tour includes a number of stairs and uneven surfaces so make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
 
Make sure to bring clothing suitable for the changeable Irish weather i.e. rain. 

It is also advisable to carry a reusable bottle of water to stay hydrated whilst on tour.
