Tour description

What if Buenos Aires could be told through its art?
This tour offers a unique perspective on the Retiro neighborhood: its key importance in the development of Argentine art from the 20th century to the present day. Amidst cafes, sculptures, and hidden passageways, this Retiro tour invites you to discover Buenos Aires through its art history. We'll walk along Florida Street and its surrounding areas to discover a neighborhood that was much more than a financial and residential center: it was the beating heart of the Argentine artistic avant-garde. We'll delve into this emblematic neighborhood, focusing on its importance as the cradle of Buenos Aires art throughout the ages, crises, governments, and urban changes.
We'll explore alleys and bars that were once refuges for writers and artists. We'll visit a run-down shopping mall that has reemerged as a cultural hub. We'll stop in front of the building that once housed the Di Tella Institute, a legendary experimental art center that forever changed the course of Argentine art history. And we'll end our tour at a shopping mall that houses a gem of Latin American muralism in its dome.
A walk filled with stories, images, and anecdotes to interpret the city through art.
Reserve your spot and rediscover Buenos Aires through different eyes.
