Tour description

Join me on Berlin's most fascinating introductory walk!

In just over two hours, we'll trample the city's scars and relive the atmosphere of the last 150 years, in the city where the history that still affects us today took place: 19th-century Berlin, driven by the changes of the Second Industrial Revolution; Berlin of the Roaring Twenties between the two World Wars; Berlin of the Cold War, of division, and of the Wall.

Today, the city stands as a model and guide for Europe and all modern metropolises. Amidst climate challenges and the burdensome memories it faces, Berlin is more vibrant and innovative than ever. We'll also have the opportunity to discuss how it faces the challenges of the future.

I'll also give you all the tips you need to enjoy your stay, based on my 15+ years here: monuments, museums, murals, clubs, restaurants, beer, markets...

Book now! The tour is limited to 8 adults!

Please note: If there isn't room for one or two people, please message me privately. If you're with a group of 6 or more adults, please ask if I'm available for a private tour.

Highlights

What will we see on this tour?

Meeting point:
Bundestag, 10557 Berlin, Germany
Meet 10 minutes before the event at the exit of the Bundestag station, subway line U5, on the corner of Konrad-Adenauer-Straße and Paul-Löbe-Allee (basically in front of the Reichstag). I always wear a blue badge with the words "GuruWalk" written on it. - Ismaele
1
Outside visit
Reichstag/Bundestag (Berlin)
An iconic building with a dramatic history, yet chosen as the place of German unity and as a symbol of modern democracy.
2
Outside visit
Marie-Elisabeth-Lüders-Haus
Named after a pioneer of women’s rights, this building is part of the modern parliamentary complex, symbolizing transparency and Germany’s democratic progress.
3
Outside visit
Wall of Solidarity
This understated but powerful monument honors the workers' movements and their fight for freedom and social justice. It’s a reminder that solidarity has shaped Berlin’s identity just as much as politics and war.
