The most entertaining Pamplona highlights walking tour

The tour lasts 2 hours
Available in Dutch

Description

Spending some time in Pamplona? And do you want to get to know the highlights and (free entry) sights? Look no further and join the most entertaining walking tour in Pamplona.

This walking tour is not an extensive history lesson, but a leisurely walk along the main sights. With a focus on fun facts, the camino, the inevitable bull run and tips about where to enjoy the best pintxos and drinks.

Our starting point is the Bull Run Monument. From there we will enter the Old town through the bustling Castle Square, continue to the Town Hall and follow the route of the annual Bull Run. We will walk on a section of the city walls where we can enjoy beautiful views. We will pass Pamplona's stunning Cathedral and visit the Bull Run Experience Center.

During the tour, your guide will point out the most interesting bars with the tastiest pintxos and quality wines for you to visit during the remainder of your trip to Pamplona. There will be lots of photo opportunities and you will learn how to drink from a traditional wine skin! You will also learn how the American writer Hemingway gave Pamplona its international allure. As a former pilgrims hostel owner, your guide can tell you all about the camino (The Way) to Santiago.

Being a small group tour of max. 5 participants, there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions about Pamplona and its surroundings. This tour ends at the City Hall Square. Available in German and English (and Dutch on request).

The activity provider is registered with the Turismo de Navarra under number UETC0137.

Guide: Arno
Guiding since 2025
Arno is born and raised in The Netherlands and he likes travelling, hiking, music and good food enjoyed in good company. He first discovered Pamplona while biking the Camino to Santiago, followed by several visits when walking this pilgrims' Way. He moved to Spain in 2020 when he and his wife bought a pilgrims hostel. Now living in Pamplona, he learned a lot about the city's history. But he still sees the local habits, culture and gastronomy through the eyes of a foreigner. Under the name The Foodguyde he also offers pintxos tasting tours in Pamplona. His walking tour is not an extensive history lesson, but a leisurely walk along the main sights. With a focus on fun facts, the camino, the inevitable bull run and tips about where to enjoy the best pintxos and drinks.
