I'm Agus, and I work with my sister, Tati, providing tourist experiences for children between the ages of 4 and 12 throughout the city of Buenos Aires. We are passionate about history, reading, tourism, and education. We design short walks, tours lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, so that children can discover the city in a fun and entertaining way.

Tour description

Stroll: The City's Classics

Once upon a time, there was a group of curious explorers between the ages of 4 and 12 (and their grown-up companions!) who dared to discover the best-kept secrets of the heart of Buenos Aires.

Our journey begins in Plaza de Mayo , the setting where unforgettable chapters of Argentine history were written. From there, we'll weave together stories and interesting facts in front of the imposing Casa Rosada , the solemn Cabildo , and the majestic Metropolitan Cathedral . And, as a mysterious finale, we'll delve into the Manzana de las Luces , a place that hides tunnels and legends that invite us to imagine times gone by.

But that's not all: each stop is designed for exploring, questioning, and playing. Little explorers will receive an activity booklet full of challenges and games, which they can complete both on the tour and later at home, so the adventure never ends.

Highlights

What will we see on this tour?

Meeting point:
Plaza de Mayo, Av. Hipólito Yrigoyen s/n, C1087 Cdad. Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina
I will be at the Pyramid of May (in the center of the Plaza) wearing a gray cap
1
Outside visit
Casa Rosada
Did you know that the Casa Rosada used to be a castle and a fort? Did you know that for a long time it was abandoned? Today, this building is recognized for its color. Do you know any other pink buildings? Even though it didn’t always look this way, it is the oldest building surrounding Plaza de Mayo. Today it’s the place where the President of Argentina works.
2
Outside visit
Monumento al General Manuel Belgrano
Manuel Belgrano was a very important figure in our history. When he was born, Argentina was very different from what it is today. His ideas and desire to build an independent country led him to take part in numerous battles, meetings, and journeys. While he was fighting, he realized that our country didn’t have a flag to represent it. That’s why, with the help of others, he created the first Argentine flag.

Free entry
Cabildo de Buenos Aires
This building is unique, but it has twin “siblings” in other cities of our country. When Argentina was still part of Spain, the cabildos were meeting places where the local authorities gathered to discuss important matters—similar to what we know today as a town hall. It was here, in 1810, that people first spoke about having their own government, which marked the beginning of our country’s freedom.
