Who hasn't dreamed of getting lost among the thousands of red gates of Fushimi Inari-Taisha, Japan's most iconic shrine?
In this free tour, you will discover the magic, secrets, and legends hidden behind the famous vermilion torii, while enjoying a unique cultural experience in Kyoto.
We will start at the main gate of the shrine, where you will learn about the history of Inari, the Shinto deity of rice and foxes. We will walk along the path of a thousand gates, explore lesser-known corners, and listen to fascinating anecdotes about the kitsune, the messengers of the gods.
The tour ends at the Shirahata Shrine, with spectacular views of the shrine surrounded by nature.
