I recently went on the Bloomsbury literary tour, and it was a truly special experience. It held extra significance for me because I actually lived in Bloomsbury for a year, three decades ago. Sadly, a tour like this didn't exist back then. If it had, I'm certain my time in the area would have been far richer and more interesting. The tour itself is a treasure trove of information. He offered a wonderfully rounded perspective, touching on the area's striking architecture and its profound educational heritage, which helped me understand Bloomsbury as a living, breathing place rather than just a collection of historical landmarks. I was genuinely amazed to learn the sheer scale of its importance—not just for literature, but for culture, economy, education and politics as well. On a lighter note, our guide Jeremy was also remarkably handsome, which, combined with his passion and knowledge, made the entire experience exceptionally pleasant.
