Meet at the Plaza de Armas and join a guided stroll through the city’s notable churches — San Agustín, the former Santa Inés (now a cultural center), La Serena Cathedral, La Merced, and San Francisco — as we uncover their histories, architectural features, and restoration journeys. Along the way you’ll learn to recognize colonial and neocolonial styles, hear engaging local anecdotes, and enjoy colorful tales of early settlers and visiting pirates that bring the city’s past to life.
