Tour description
Enjoy a calm, creative hands-on experience in Ginza, one of Tokyo’s most refined districts. In this chopstick-making workshop, you’ll slow down, work with natural wood, and create a one-of-a-kind pair of chopsticks—right in the heart of the city.
With step-by-step guidance, you’ll shape the wood, smooth the surface, and complete your chopsticks using traditional tools and techniques. The process is simple and enjoyable, so beginners are very welcome—no prior experience is needed.
This workshop is more than crafting. You’ll also discover the cultural meaning of chopsticks in Japan—how they’re used in everyday life, why shape and material matter, and how etiquette reflects Japanese values. The result is a relaxing experience that combines creativity with cultural insight.
At the end of the session, take your finished chopsticks home the same day. Your personalized pair will be nicely wrapped, ready to use or to give as a thoughtful souvenir from Japan.
Perfect for families, couples, friends, and solo travelers, this Ginza workshop is ideal if you want a peaceful break from sightseeing and a memorable way to connect with Japanese culture.
Important Note:
Please note that a separate material fee is required for this workshop.
The price of the wood starts from ¥2,000, depending on the type of wood you choose.
