Tour description

Join this free 2.5-hour walking tour to explore Kunming’s culture, history, and local life. We’ll start at Cuihu Lake, enjoying scenic views and learning about its stories. Next, we visit the Martial Hall (Jingwutang) to discover local history and anecdotes.

We’ll stroll through a traditional market, experiencing vibrant street life, and walk along Qianju Street and Wenhua Alley, where old architecture and small shops create the city’s charm. Along the way, we will stop by interesting cafés where you can enjoy the atmosphere, and I will introduce some of Kunming’s iconic “OG” restaurants, sharing their stories and specialties.

Following the streets downhill, the tour concludes at Yunnan University (Yunda). At the end, you are free to revisit the cafés and restaurants we highlighted during the walk, continuing your Kunming experience at your own pace.

This tour is perfect for anyone who loves history, local culture, cafés, and food.
