Yunyun was a fantastic tour guide! She was very knowledgeable, spoke perfect English and the tour was well-paced. She also recommended which foods to try in Xi’an and where to try them. I highly recommend this tour!

Yunyun was an unbelievable tour guide. She went above and beyond to show us corners of Xi’An you’d never see yourself - and speaks incredible English. Plus the food was delicious! Would recommend this tour to anyone traveling to the city.

Thanks for the amazing tour in Xi'An. Yunyun guided us through the most remarkable streets of Xi'An city centre, mixing the city's story together with her own family one. She is very sweet, talkative and curious about others' cultures, languages and interest. She shared with us some Tang's poems and she asked us to do the same with our most relevant national poetries. At the end she gifted us a unique piece of her calligraphy collection! Amazing! Thanks for everything ❤️

Great opportunity to sample a variety of foods which are shared between the group. Small group size was great. The guide was lovely and not pushy like others. I would highly recommend.

What a wonderful food tour with Wenji! The weather was a bit drizzly but we were treated to exciting sights and aromas along the streets from the restaurants we passed and visited. Wenji had lots of information on the culture and origins of food in the area. We tasted many dishes, drinks and desserts. She has a great personality, good English and really looked after the group well. We learnt a lot and had a lot of laughs! Really fun. Thanks for the soda treat. It is best to come hungry on the tour!

My boyfriend and I can’t recommend this food tour enough - it’s a real gem! Wenqi is an amazing guide: she took us from one spot to another through the streets of Xi’an’s Muslim Quarter, giving us a deeper insight into the city’s culture and daily life. The tour goes through the less touristy streets of the neighborhood, stopping at Wenqi’s personal favorite food spots, where she used to eat with her family as a child. Thanks to this, we were able to enjoy a truly authentic experience (and of course delicious local food). Wenqi is kind, knowledgeable and fun, and thanks to her there was never a dull moment. Simply put: try this tour and you won’t be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I participated in the calligraphy workshop, and overall we were are satisfied with the experience! The workshop is suitable both for complete beginners and for those with some prior experience. Yunyun was very patient and guided us step by step throughout the session. We highly recommend this experience if you want to spend an interesting and relaxing afternoon in Xi’an doing something unique.

I really loved the historical elements, and the map/photos Yunyun showed helped as a visual aid to the stories. She was happy, kind, and proud of her city. Also, her English was great and very easy to understand (not always the case for tours in China). Probably the best free walking tour we've taken so far in China, thanks Yunyun!

We had a fantastic experience, Yunyun was an excellent guide, incredibly knowledgeable about Xi’an, its history, food, culture, and local traditions, while also being great fun to spend time with. What made the experience truly special was that she took us to places we would never have discovered on our own as tourists, authentic local restaurants and food spots where Xi’an residents actually eat. We tried a wide variety of dishes, with different alternatives and flavors throughout the evening, all of them delicious and very well prepared. The tour felt authentic, relaxed, and thoughtfully curated from beginning to end. We couldn’t recommend it more highly. 100% recommended!

We had a beautiful and very interactive tour in Xi’an with Yunyun. She has a real passion for history and poetry, which made the experience feel much more personal and alive. Her enthusiasm was contagious and she brought the city, its culture, and its stories to life in such a warm and engaging way. Highly recommended if you want a guide who goes beyond the standard tour and creates a genuinely memorable experience.

Excellent tour and really informative. Guide is wonderfully friendly and offers extra spots to return and get even more local foods, and is fascinating to talk to re: Chinese culture, language & history too.
