On this free sunset tour we will explore the nightlife, local customs and the real face of everyday Japan that doesn't appear in the guidebooks.
At 6:00 PM, when the neon lights come on and the city changes its rhythm, we will begin a 2-hour walking tour to understand how the Japanese live, work and enjoy their free time in one of the most fascinating districts in the world.
This tour isn't just about lights and entertainment; it's about understanding the real Japan. We'll start at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, discussing the city's transformation, work, rent, the pace of life, and cultural curiosities that surprise travelers.
We will delve into Omoide Yokocho, a historic alleyway that preserves the atmosphere of post-war Japan, where salarymen still gather after the workday, discovering their food culture and daily life off the tourist circuit.
We will continue towards Kabukicho to learn, without myths or exaggerations, about Japanese nightlife, host and hostess clubs, safety and cultural norms to explore the area respectfully.
We will explore the iconic Golden Gai and end at Hanazono Shrine, a shrine hidden among neon lights that reflects the coexistence of tradition and modernity in present-day Japan.
