Leipzig - the new Berlin? Studying, Partying & Living in Leipzig

Leipzig has this exciting, youthful vibe, yet it’s much more accessible and laid-back than Berlin. On this tour, we’ll find out if the hype surrounding “Hypezig” is justified. We’ll talk openly about how to find a shared apartment here, where the beer is most affordable, and why the city offers such a high quality of life, especially for young people. I’ll give you the inside scoop on the university, the housing market, and the bar scene.

We’ll start at Augustusplatz in the academic center and work our way south. Along the way, we won’t just check out the university—we’ll also talk about real everyday life: How do you network, where can you dive into the city’s diverse scenes, and which neighborhoods are truly worth living in right now? We’ll head straight to Karli via the Albertina (Albi). I’ll show you the mix of pubs and clubs in the Südvorstadt and tell you why so many people want to move to Leipzig right now.
