Discover Mérida , one of the best-preserved Roman cities in Europe, on a 2-hour free tour full of history, curiosities and surprising anecdotes.
We will walk through the footsteps of Emerita Augusta, founded more than 2000 years ago by Emperor Augustus, and learn how Romans, Visigoths, Arabs and Christians left their mark on the city.
During the tour we will discover Roman temples, imperial streets, palaces, medieval churches and one of the best preserved Muslim fortresses in Spain, ending next to the majestic Roman bridge over the Guadiana River.
If you want to understand Mérida in a complete and enjoyable way, this free tour is for you.
