SHIBUYA-HARAJUKU: city and culture, by JAPANESE GUIDES
Description
Why this tour and not another? Because we are NOT foreigners living in Japan: we are Japanese students, born and raised here. We show you our real Shibuya, the one we've known since childhood, with stories and corners that no guidebook—or foreign guide—will tell you.
We start at the statue of Hachiko, a symbol of loyalty that moved all of Japan and continues to bring together millions of people every day. We cross the Scramble Crossing, where up to 3,000 people cross at once without bumping into each other: pure organized chaos in Japanese style. We delve into Nonbei Yokocho, the "drunkard's alley," a Showa-era corner with more than 40 tiny bars that survived the real estate boom of the 80s. We continue through Miyashita Park, Cat Street, and the vibrant Takeshita-dori, the heart of fashion and kawaii culture. And we end at the Meiji Shrine, a sacred and silent forest in the heart of Tokyo: the perfect contrast to the chaos at the beginning.
Small group, close atmosphere, and the honest perspective of young people who truly live this Tokyo. Are you coming?
