The iconic landmarks of downtown Buenos Aires.

Welcome to the San Nicolás and Retiro neighborhoods. I designed this tour to show you the city's most iconic landmarks. I am a certified guide, accredited by the Buenos Aires City Tourism Board and the Buenos Aires City Guides Association. I combine professionalism and the rigor that comes from my years of experience (as a teacher, cultural manager, and tour guide). If you want to explore the city and enjoy history, art, photography, and architecture, take this tour to visit and photograph its landmarks.

  • The first section is known as the "Microcentro," around the Church of San Nicolás de Bari, where the obelisk stands today. The second, the Retiro neighborhood, was a residential area with country estates away from the city center, taking its name from the governor's residence. Today, it is one of the most French-influenced areas, along with Recoleta.
Meeting point : Vatican Square, in the block bounded by Cerrito, Viamonte, Libertad, and Pasaje Toscanini streets. We will meet at the corner of Cerrito and Viamonte, next to the Colón Theatre.
Recommendation: Book your guided tour of the Teatro Colón one hour before your Guruwalk walking tour.
